Atlanta - Zero Energy Home

In the world today, we can longer bury our heads in the sand when it comes to climate change and the impact we have had on the planet.  The goal of the project was to not only create a residence that was environmentally conscious but one that left no mark at all.

View from above

In order to accomplish this goal the project was thought of in two parts.  The inner living quarters would be draped in a shell that would serve many purposes.  Vegetation would grow here, water would be collected, and shading would be provided.

The adjacent parti diagrams show the simple forms placed below the shell, the shading element draped over the living quarters and the PV locations integrated into the shell.
